I purchased
a T-180 in November of 2003.
I love
the cutter,
except for one thing which is
attaching it to the tractor.
The tractor has a traditional
drag bar, and connecting the
cutter to the drag bar is a
challenge all of the time. What
would be better is to have a
heavy equipment pintle hook
type of attachment where you
can easily back the tractor
up, lower the cutter, and it's
a done deal. As it is now, pins
and clevis get chewed up and
makes it most difficult to attach.
Thank
you so much for "buzzing"
us. We agree completely and have
actually come up with a new swivel
clevis for the T-180 that makes
this a simple one-man operation.
If you'd like to order one for
your unit, just let us know, or
even better buy a whole new one
even though yours has many years
left on it. Just kidding, we figure
we'll be first in line whenever
your Bush-Whacker finally wears
out, and that's good enough for
us. Just tell your neighbors.

We've
been very satisfied with the performance
of this equipment (we had a Woods
mower before this one, that couldn't
compare on its best day). We've
gone through the operations and
parts manuals for this mower to
make sure that we lubricate everything
for winter. The parts book shows
a grease fitting in the center
of the wing drives. We've tried
to locate this grease fitting
by putting the wings in all positions
and turning the outer cover, but
have not been able to get to the
fitting. We've also tried to inspect
for a quick release pin to separate
the drive from the mower to get
to this fitting. Is there some
trick to getting at this fitting?
We
looked at a wing drive shaft
and noticed that the manufacturer
had left out the hole in the
inner plastic shield. You should
be able to cut a hole in the
inner shield using the outer
shield hole as a guide to be
able to access the fitting.
We regret the inconvenience.
Thank you for bringing this
to our attention.

What
is the blade tip speed on a
8410? I like what I've seen
at my local dealer and your
Web site. Finally someone offers
a pull type in this size!
Thank
you for you interest in our
8410P (Pull Type) Bush-Whacker.
Our tip speed for this unit
is 15,500 FPM. If you would
like more information, please
feel free to contact
the Bush-Whacker sales representative
for your area.

I just purchased one of your
bat wings. Best machine that
I have ever purchased. Thanks
for a great product.
Thanks
for your comments. For decades
we've been known for the durability
and quality of our bat-wing
mowers, but be sure to check
out our other models as well!

The hogs with short gear
boxes and straight blades worked
much better and cut closer.
The
drop down blades bend very easy
and have to be replaced very
often.
I have used these hogs and repaired
them for years. I have watched
as you have redesigned and improved
some weak points. GOOD WORK!!!!!!
Thanks
for your comments. Input from
our customers — especially
long-term ones like you —
helps us constantly improve
our products to meet your changing
needs.
